Groupe Partouche is rolling out cryptocurrency payments for casino chips at its French venues. The initiative uses payment infrastructure developed over four years and is being discussed in the context of France’s regulatory framework and the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regime.
Light & Wonder installed its RAPIDPLAY cashless slot system at Crystal Bay Casino in Nevada. The system uses open banking and QR codes to let players transfer funds from a mobile device, with payments provider Koin supporting the deployment.
ZEN.COM introduced pay-by-bank services across Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Ireland and Lithuania. The service uses Mastercard’s open-finance infrastructure and is positioned as an account-to-account payment option alongside cards.
