A hacker reportedly used malware installed on selected poker players’ devices to view their screens and gain an advantage at online tables. The campaign allegedly affected multiple gaming environments, with at least one platform blocking an account after detecting unusually high win rates.
WIRED reported that malware known as MeshAgent was found on a professional poker player’s computer and may have enabled access to opponents’ cards. The discovery followed an investigation into suspected cheating during high-stakes online poker play.
