Compromised updates to third-party poker software allegedly installed remote-access malware on some high-stakes players’ computers. The incident reportedly exposed screens and private cards, while CoinPoker seized more than $100,000 linked to suspicious activity and reimbursed affected players.
Attackers reportedly replaced updates for Jurojin Poker and IntuitiveTables with remote-access malware, allowing them to view infected players’ screens and hole cards. The incident affected a targeted group of users and prompted at least one poker operator to add screen-protection measures.
Attackers intermittently replaced Jurojin Poker update packages with versions containing remote-access software between June 2025 and June 2026. The incident reportedly compromised about 30 players’ devices and exposed poker screens and hole cards.
